Ambode directs all 57 local councils to submit at least four roads for urgent repairs

Lagos state Governor, Akinwunmi Ambode has directed all the 20 Local Government and 37 Local Council Development Areas to submit at least four roads that needs urgent attention in their neighborhood to the state government for immediate rehabilitation.
Engr. Ayotunde Sodehinde, General Manager, Lagos State Public Works Corporation (LSPWC) stated this while conducting a group of journalists on an inspection of the on-going roads rehabilitation in the state. Engr. Sodehinde also revealed his Agency has carried out palliative and minor rehabilitation works on about 120 roads in the state that in the last three months,.
He added that 33 work gangs of the corporation are currently at various locations in the state evaluating and identifying roads that requires urgent government attention.
He, however, lamented that bad weather and paucity of funds has reduced the pace of work on some roads in the state, but assured that immediately the rain subsides his men will be visible in every part of Lagos.
Some of the roads the corporation has worked on in the last three months include:
  1. The Lekki-Epe Expressway
  2. Eleran Igbe T-junction, Epe
  3. Odunlani Street, Bariga
  4. Adekoya street, off College road, Ifako Ijaiye
  5. Fatai Atere way, Ladipo
  6. Lakowe-Bogige inward Ajah
  7. Town Planning way/Industrial Avenue, Ilupeju
  8. Lawanson-Itire road, Ijesha, Surulere
  9. Alhaji Akinwunmi Street, Ladipo, Mushin
  10. Asa Afariogun Street and
  11. Lateef Salami Street in Ajao Estate
