The Lagos State Governor, Mr. Akinwunmi Ambode has ordered the immediate rehabilitation of Regina Mondi road, in Mushin Local Government Area as well as four others in the State.
Engr. Ayotunde Sodehinde, General Manager, Lagos State Public Works Corporation (LSPWC), who stated this while conducting a group of journalists on an inspection of the on-going rehabilitation of Ikotun-Ejigbo road project, stated that the 6.6km stretch of road is currently undergoing complete rehabilitation and reconstruction.
The deplorable state of the road is believed to have been responsible for two major accidents involving a trailer (pictured) in May 2015 and another involving a petrol tanker in August 2015.
While assuring all Lagosians that the present administration is ready to repair all the deplorable roads in the state, the General Manager disclosed that work has also commenced on the rehabilitation of the bad portion on Regina Mondi road and others in several parts of the state.
